‘Zwei Umwelten’ is an audio-visual display that blends two synchronized recordings of a car ride through the marble quarries in the Apuan Alps. Using an open source software and traditional filming hardware, we shot infrared profundity

data and photographic images in motion. Each dispositive allowed the access to a different phenomenological realm, a different ‘world-environment.’ Thus, the device operates as a prosthetic extension of our ecological perception: what cannot be seen by the ‘humanoid’ camera can be apprehended in the form of data visualization.
